This week’s Wordless Wednesday topic is “Wayback Disney.” My family’s first visit was in 2006, so since we can’t go very far back, here’s a look at some things that are no longer at Walt Disney World.
Clockwise from top left: Sorcerer Mickey hat at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Pocahontas and Friends stage show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios, Camp Minnie-Mickey at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, Walt Disney’s airplane at Backlot Tour at Disney’s Hollywood Studios.

Just great memories of those sights of the WDW of old. Some will be missed such as the Osborne Lights – others perhaps not as much (the Sorcerer’s Hat) – but they all form the fabric of what makes Disney so special for us! Thanks for sharing!! Maybe I’ll see you in the parks one of these days. 🙂
They definitely weave a special Disney tapestrybof memories! We definitely do need to meet in real life sometime!
It’s so much fun to look back and remember when! I never thought I’d miss the hat but I do, lol.
“Just around the river bend”.. still sounds so sweet playing in my head.
Thanks for bringing me back.
Thanks, now I’m stuck on that song too!
It is amazing how the parks gradually change over time, shows and landmarks change. We have a Forest on Enchantment show starring Pocahontas which I keep missing at DLP but it is back on this summer so can’t wait to catch that during our August visit.
Our first visit to Hollywood Studios in2014 the sorcerers hat was there, so for us, it was a bit awful they took it down. We don’t go too far back with our Disney trips but go in less than 3 weeks again and look forward to making new memories!
