Can you imagine how different Disney’s Animal Kingdom Tree of Life would look if it had an observation deck in its upper branches?

According to The Imagineering Field Guide to Disney’s Animal Kingdom at Walt Disney World, early plans for the Park’s “wienie,” the Tree of Life, called for an overlook or observation deck to be placed in the Tree’s upper branches. Guests would be able to ascend to the top of the Tree at the center of Discovery Island for panoramic views of the Park’s various lands. Don’t know about you, but I am glad they scrapped that idea in favor of a more natural appearance.
