Wildscreen ARKive, a UK conservation effort that spotlights endangered species and offers FREE educational resources, is the focus of this week’s Friday Finds.
This week’s Friday Finds features Wildscreen ARKive, a conservation effort based in the United Kingdom that provides FREE educational resources and information about the planet’s endangered species.
Wildscreen ARKive is a team effort from some of the world’s best wildlife photographers and filmmakers, conservationists and scientists, who together are “bringing the natural world into homes, classrooms and onto handheld devices around the world.” ARKive is a production of the wildlife charity Wildscreen, and their mission is “to use the power of wildlife imagery to inspire the global community to discover, value and protect the natural world.”
The Wildscreen ARKive website features information on various endangered species, geography and locations where these animals live (and how/why they’re losing habitat), and fun games and quizzes, like this design-a-habitat interactive exercise, to help children ages 5-18 grasp the concepts and understand the materials presented.
