Disney’s Blizzard Beach Cross Country Creek is the perfect place to cool off! Grab an inner tube and paddle at leisure or just kick back, relax, and chill out as you float gently down the stream.
Disney’s Blizzard Beach offers loads of wintry summer fun, from the steep slopes of Mount Gushmore to the rolling tide of Melt-Away Bay and all the slides and runs in between. Well, that can wear a ski-swimmer out! Every now and then it’s nice to take a soothing break from the action and simply float with the current of Cross Country Creek.
This 3,000-foot-long rambling river flows all the way around the entire park and is easily accessible—and exitable—with 7 convenient landings along its course. You’ll pass through polar caves, where icy cold runoff drips from the ceiling above. You’ll drift past lush greenery and rocky steeps with stairs and slides tucked among the trees, and you’ll drop by Ice Gator’s home, where he’s resting under the weather. Be sure to wish him well, and watch out for his sneeze!3
Today, experiment with rivers, ponds, and lakes activities found at A2Z Home’s Cool. You’ll find things like an aquatic listening device, a virtual hydro-electricity plant tour, a tabletop biosphere project and more!
