Magical Mouse Schoolhouse is a unique blog that plusses the homeschool experience and prompts home educators to think outside the textbook.
Weâd like to offer a Pooh-sized welcome to all new fans! Weâre so glad youâve joined us here at Magical Mouse Schoolhouse, a unique blog that plusses the homeschool experience and prompts home educators to think outside the textbook. Here you will discover teachable moments found in Walt Disney entertainmentâfrom the history of Walter Elias Disney to the magic behind animation techniques and beyondâand will take away creative applications and suggested lesson plans for kids preschool through high school.
For instance, watch Dumbo and learn about aviation. Build a paper airplane with an elephantâs proportions. Consider if large wings (or ears) help or hinder flight. Ride Epcotâs Test Track. Design a wooden model car and put it to the performance test in a pinewood derby.
Non-homeschooling parents can employ takeaways to supplement their childrenâs schoolwork or to keep their kids from stagnating during summer break or other time off from class.
Classroom teachers can also utilize the blog to enhance their lesson plans and offer additional course work.
We encourage you to stretch the boundaries of your home classroom and embrace the teachable moments that take the guise of Disney movies, Disney theme parks, Disney story books, Disney art, and more!

Thanks for dropping in! I’ll be right over for that banana bread… đ
I homeschooled my son who is now about to start a family of his own. I agree that homeschool can be fun & learning does not always have to come from a text book. We used a multitude of folder games, field trips & even rummaging to teach him & incorporating Disney World sounds wonderful.
I always love to hear success stories like yours!

Oh, thanks! Lu Ann! Btw, I got your email & will reply soon! Thanks!
I wish I could have homeschooled, especially the first 7 years.
It has its challenges, but many more rewards đ
It is kind of neat to incorporate Disney with school. I mean what child doesn’t love something to do with Disney. Teaches them that learning is incorporated with fun!
Exactly!
