Did you know there exists an entire website solely devoted to the plant life of The Happiest Place on Earth? Plants of Disneyland was created by a “botanist by education and horticulturist by hobby” and is clearly a work of love. The site took root in the creators’ love of Disneyland and respect for Walt Disney. Fascinated by the “wonderfully well-kept, exotic, and unusual plants that fill the park,” they set out to provide fans a detailed listing of what’s where at Disneyland Resort.
At Plants of Disneyland, you will find photographs of each plant, organized by location within the property, and then by location within each park. When you click on a photograph, a new window opens to reveal a larger image and more details about the selected specimen.
Plants of Disneyland also offers educational materials to help your kids learn while they play! Be sure to download their botany exercises, botany descriptions, and drawing templates. Who knows? They may just help you transform your own landscape a magical wonderland as well.
