Did you know this week’s Tiggerific Tuesday Disney Trivia about Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows?
In 1971, Disney’s Polynesian Resort became one of two hotels on Walt Disney World property to open to Guests. (Disney’s Contemporary Resort was the other.) This past week, the Poly experienced another grand opening! On March 31, 2015, Walt Disney World Resort and Disney Vacation Club grand-opened the newest resort in the DVC family – Disney’s Polynesian Villas & Bungalows. The dedication ceremony featured a Samoan fire-knife dancer, Polynesian drummers, and torch-bearers representing the three points of the Polynesian Triangle. The three torches lit a fourth torch, officially opening the newest lodging, which is part of an overall re-imagination of Disney’s Polynesian Village Resort.
