Do you know what tomorrow is? It’s a special holiday people celebrate to show those close to them how much they are loved—aka Valentine’s Day! Guests lucky enough to be spending the day at Disneyland Resort are in for some very sweet treats.
Minnie Mouse greets Guests in heart-warming style to kick off this Valentine weekend of enchanting experiences, spellbinding meals, and romantic photo opportunities throughout the Resort. Forget the old heart-shaped box of chocolates! Stop by one of several locations at Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, the Disneyland Hotel, and Disney’s Paradise Pier Hotel for a chocolate cupcake with raspberry mousse filling and dark chocolate mousse frosting dipped in chocolate ganache! I know a gift like that would make my heart melt!
The Downtown Disney District hosts musical performances that occur between 6:00 and 10:00 PM, tonight through Saturday:
- February 13, 2014 – Experience the rhythmic grooves of Swing Cats as an instructor shows you just how to bring the swing to any dance floor.
- February 14, 2014 – Say howdy to the honkytonk style of Ry Bradley, who transforms this Valentine’s Day into a raucous and rowdy affair.
- February 15, 2014 – Get back into the swing of things with a mix of songs from Stompy Jones. And while you’re there, be sure to pick up a few new moves from the dance instructor on hand! (Dates and details provided by Disneyland News.)
Many Disneyland Resort and Downtown Disney restaurants will be offering special menu options for the holiday, shopping venues will sell souvenirs you can’t find elsewhere, and February 13-16, 2014, the AMC Downtown Disney 12 Theaters will be showing a special return-to-the-silver-screen viewing of the Academy Award-nominated Moulin Rouge. Also at Downtown Disney from 5:00 PM to 9:00 PM each weekend evening for just $25, you can saddle up for an elegant horse and carriage ride—complete with its own professional photograph, courtesy of Kaman’s Art Shoppe!
On February 15, 2014, when the “Disney Princess Palace Pets” line officially debuts, be among the first to bring home Pumpkin and Treasure—the royal pets of Ariel and Cinderella—at Build-a-Bear Workshop. All around Downtown Disney District Guests looking for a more traditional gift can select fresh flowers for their sweethearts.
Downtown Disney’s Jamba Juice indulges Guests’ sweet tooth with a Valentine’s Day hidden menu. Discover the berrilicious Chocolate-Covered Strawberry or Strawberry Dreamin’ smoothies, and throughout Valentine’s Day, you can even take advantage of a buy one, get one free offer for all featured beverages, or any other smoothies in the Creamy Treat’s category—Orange Dream Machine, Peanut Butter Moo’d, and Chocolate Moo’d. (Per DisneylandNews.com, please note: This offer is valid only on February 14, 2014 and cannot be combined with any other offer.)
