Disneyland Resort Paris: Peter Pan's Flight

Another timeless, classic attraction at Disneyland Resort Paris, is Peter Pan’s Flight. As with its American counterparts, there are often long lines and lengthy FastPass waits for this Fantasyland ride, because it appeals to absolutely everyone. I mean, who, at some point, has not wished to fly or hoped to prolong the adventures of childhood?

At Peter Pan’s Flight, Guests board a flying pirate ship and set sail high above the streets of London, bound for Never Land. This pixie-dusted perch is an unusual ride vehicle, as it, unlike most rides, hangs down from its track rather than gliding atop its rails. This creates a swinging motion to allow a more realistic flying sensation and offers a birds-eye view of topside sights.

Altered scaling and forced perspective do not diminish Big Ben or London Bridge. As the moonlit streets disappear from view, the pirate galleon descends and sweeps past the Lost Boys camp, Mermaid Lagoon (where one little mermaid suspiciously resembles Ariel), and Skull Rock. In the end, Peter valiantly saves the day and defeats Captain Hook, because after all, “Hook is a codfish!”
