Christmas festivities continue across the Atlantic Ocean at Disneyland Resort Paris. Main Street, U.S.A., lights the holiday spirit with old-fashioned American charm. Garlands, wreaths, and a larger-than-life Christmas tree decorate the area, and several times a day—whether the weather cooperates or not—snow flurries flutter in the air.

Guests can meet Santa Claus at Frontierland’s Cottonwood Creek Ranch or, if they prefer, mail their wishlists to the North Pole from the Santa Claus Post Office. Seasonal costumes and props turn it’s a small world into a not-so-small global celebration. Mickey’s Winter Wonderland show features Characters in wooly hats singing winter songs to Country Bear banjo accompaniment while Mickey Mouse ice skates. And, of course, Disney’s Once Upon a Dream Parade is enhanced with extra Characters and floats, Mickey’s pal Duffy Bear, and the jolly ‘ol elf himself, Santa Claus, on his sleigh!

A brand new seasonal edition of Disneyland Paris’ award-winning nighttime spectacular, Disney Dreams of Christmas! (Disney Dreams! fête Noël in French), awes Guests nightly at theCentral Plaza. The centerpiece of all the Resort decorations, though, is Sleeping Beauty Castle, shimmering in stunning splendor with thousands of lights for Princess Aurora’s Christmas Wish.
Today’s Takeaway:
Unlike the tepid climates of DLRP’s American counterparts in California and Florida, real snow often falls at Disneyland Resort Paris, giving the holiday season a naturally festive look. Today, make paper snowflakes to sprinkle around your house—hang on the Christmas tree, tape to windows, prop on mantles, or string from the ceiling—and add some holiday cheer to your home! Here are several Mickey templates from Spoonful.com.
