Opening in 1997 in the Animal Kingdom area of Walt Disney World Resort, you’ll find Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort. This is one of the three moderately priced resorts in Walt Disney World, along with Caribbean Beach and Port Orleans.
Coronado Springs is inspired by a Southwest United States/Mexican theme. When you enter the main lobby (El Centro) you will immediately notice the details in the stucco and tile decor. There are over 1,900 rooms at Coronado Springs, which are located in three areas throughout the property. The brightly colored Casitas are closest to the Convention Center. The beachfront Cabanas circle the 22-acre lake and are closest to El Centro. The Ranchos are the rustic, pueblo style buildings in the back of the property.
This moderate resort houses the largest Business and Convention Center on Disney property. As you enter the lobby, the Convention Center will be down a long hall on the left past the food court and gift shop. To the right, as you enter, is the registration and concierge desks.
