Mayday Falls holds the title for being the longest and highest waterslide at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. It is also the bumpiest. This is not an exaggeration, as it is also considered the most intense of the park’s raft rides that offer the biggest thrills. This is one of the best water slides available for anyone looking for more excitement. The climb is long as Guests make their way up to the highest point of Mount Mayday. As you reach the summit, hop on and hold on for the wildest ride at Typhoon Lagoon as you wind down the longest length of the mountain through caverns and over rough rapids.

This is a ride for those looking for more of a thrill, with more fantastic views of the entire water park and the Miss Tilly, the stranded shrimp boat. As always, the whole experience is fun with fantastic theming from start to finish. The imaginers really know how to make you feel as though you are sliding down and around the mountain, making it another must-do for those stopping by Typhoon Lagoon.
Today’s Takeaway:
Time for some research! I know…I know that’s not exactly what students like to hear! However, its time to look up a waterfall! Angel Falls is the tallest waterfall in the world. Located in Venezuela’s Canaima National Park this waterfall is about 3,000 feet high! Your assignment is to discover why this waterfall is named Angel Falls? Also what is the other name for it? Who gave it the other name?
Below is a video of the beautiful falls.
