Did YOU know this Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia about Disney and the Lionel Corporation?
In 1934, the Lionel Corporation produced a Mickey and Minnie windup handcar, which sold so well (at $1.00 each) that the company was saved from bankruptcy! (Via The Ultimate Disney Trivia Book 3, by Kevin Neary and Dave Smith.) Knowing Walt’s love of trains, it’s only fitting that his company help save Lionel!
