My how time flies! Here we are at the end of April already. We hope you’ve had a wonderful month and have enjoyed a look at several Epcot World Showcase Pavilions. Here’s a quick review so you can check out the posts you may have missed.
We began with the 19th Annual Epcot International Flower & Garden Show and a stop at Epcot’s China Pavilion. The 75 topiaries, like the dragon above, inspired some holiday crafts.
We crossed the Lagoon to the Canada Pavilion, admired Victoria Gardens and told stories with totems.
The UK Pavilion’s quaint charm beckoned us to walk through England’s history. Got in a little physical activity with a maze race too.
Our good friend Mike from My Dreams of Disney toured us through the Mexico Pavilion, where we learned to make a traditional Ojo de Dios, a a traditional Mexican craft that marks the first five years of a child’s life.
Next, our dear friend Heidi from What’s Going on in Heidi’s Head stopped by to explore the Norway Pavilion and treated us to a sweet Norwegian delight of lefse flatbread.
We marveled at how very Venetian the Italy Pavilion is. Earn Your E.A.R.S. participant and Magical Mouse Schoolhouse attendee, Sierra H., provided some beautiful pictures. We’ll see more of her photos in May. (Thanks, Sierra!)
One final Guest, Beth, from Pursuing the Magic (and the creator of the Magical Blogorail!) showed us around the Germany Pavilion and all this little German village has to offer, from delicious dining to cute collectibles to toy-sized trains.
Of course, our regular weekly features, Tiggerific Tuesday Blog Hop…or Bounce, Wordless Wednesday and Magical Blogorail Yellow ran on April 6, stopping at our favorite Magic Kingdom lands and attractions. Magical Blogorail Fridays ran as usual. Well, almost! One Magical Blogorail Friday swapped for a Thursday so we could share some Earth Day activities. We also hosted several giveaways and brought back our GIVEAWAY Wednesday. Earn Your E.A.R.S. projects went out this month as well. Registration opens tomorrow for May’s E.A.R.S. It’s the last one of the school year, so don’t miss it!
Take some time to explore the posts you missed or to revisit favorite articles. We hope you always have fun learning while you play when Disney IS school and that you’ll join us again in May as we complete our trek around Epcot’s World Showcase.
Think outside the textbook with this veteran homeschooling author & editor, and learn while you play!
