Love the arts? Love Disney? Of course you do! Have plans to go to Epcot this weekend? If not, clear the schedule! Today, February 17, through Monday, February 20, mark the final days of the Inaugural Epcot International Festival of the Arts. Our very special Guest Colleen recently attended this spectacular new event and shares her experience with us today.
You, your family, and your friends are in for an AWESOME treat at the Epcot International Festival of the Arts! This fantastic festival has it all: culinary delights, visual arts, and performing arts.
Since it was the first time for the Epcot International Festival of the Arts, my family was so excited! My sons, my brother Ben, and I all went and had a great time. We asked my brother to go with us, because not only does he love going to Disney parks with us, but he also is an artist, specializing in glass jewelry and paintings. My sons were thrilled that their Uncle Brian would be coming along to check out the various art, to watch the various performances, and to sample the delicious creative cuisine, all part of this festival. Ben enjoyed speaking with the various artists and discussing their creative process, and he ended up purchasing some great art pieces to add to his fine arts collection.
Don\’t miss the final weekend of #Epcot #FestivaloftheArts! Special Guest Colleen tells us all about it!
While we got a great overview of what to expect from checking out these links, we also received some excellent suggestions from Epcot Cast Member, Abbey, a College Intern from North Carolina. While we were testing out different Coca-Cola Drinks from around the world, Abbey shared with us that all Cast Members were given a great guide that gave them some additional information about this Inaugural Epcot Festival of the Arts. She shared that she loved walking around to see the different works of art and that the foods she had tried all were so tasty and fun to try. Abbey was so right! After her suggestions, we decided to try some of the delicious dessert selections, as well as some of the delectable “Deconstructed” plates. If you like pastries, chocolates, salads, sandwiches, or seafood, the Epcot International Festival of the Arts will have something to please your palette! Abbey is a class act, so before we left for the day, we stopped by and told Guest Relations how friendly, knowledgeable, and helpful she was.
As far as the musical performances, we were blessed to get to catch parts of them as we were walking from one place to the next. We did not sit down to watch one in its entirety, but what we did listen to and see was entertaining and visually appealing. While we did enjoy what we caught of the performing arts portion of this festival, we focused more on taking in the culinary creations and appreciating and purchasing the fine arts.
Well, hope you have fun at this Inaugural Epcot Festival of the Arts! We all did, and we are already planning to go back next year!
