H i, friends! First, please let me apologize for my absences this month. (I hope you noticed anyway!) I won’t waste your time with excuses, but I do want to assure you that Magical Mouse Schoolhouse is not closing its doors, and quite to the contrary will be integrating some changes and improvements in the days and months to come.

One of those improvements includes helping my fellow homeschooling families find ways to enjoy life more. The first thing I have found that I want to share with you is the eMeals weekly food inspiration. I was supposed to review this program weeks ago, but…well, I’ve been remiss. I have not, however, been remiss in following my weekly eMeal plans!

What is eMeals, you ask? Glad you asked! Emeals is a family menu-planning site offered by monthly subscription. It is NOT a diet! The folks at emeals take the stress of meal planning off your plate. They create weekly menus based on your preference, listing a meal for each day of the week, and including a thorough grocery list organized by grocery store department. For example, on March 26, we had Skillet Chicken with Black Beans and Salsa and Avocado-Orange Salad. This meal was tagged as kid-friendly, with an estimated preparation time of 15 minutes and a cook time of 20 minutes, for a total raw-to-table time of 35 minutes. The meal plan included the complete recipe for both dishes and detailed instructions for cooking and serving. It was simple, easy, and delicious! In fact, every single eMeal we have made has been so good that even my picky eater loved it! Now that’s saying something.

I chose the Clean Eating Family Meal Plan, which is mainly fresh produce and meat dishes, with little prepared food. You can choose for a family of 2-6 or for a family of 2 for proper portions at $30 for 3 months, $48 for 6 months, or $58 for 12 months (that’s only $5 a month!). In addition to the Clean Eating plan, eMeals also offer Classic Meals, Paleo, Low Calorie, Slow Cooker, Low Fat, Low Carb, Kid Friendly, Simple Gourmet, Mediterranean, Natural & Organic, Gluten Free, Vegetarian, and Portion Control dinner plans. They have breakfast (+$3/month), lunch (+$4/month), and dessert (+$3/month) plans too!

eMeals allows those enrolled to switch meal plans whenever they like. If you find the one you signed up for no longer suits your family’s needs, simply try another. If you are still not satisfied, eMeals offers a 14-day money back satisfaction guarantee. Right now, with Father’s Day approaching, eMeals has a FREEBIE available! If you’re already a member, you can access the Father’s Day menuĀ  when you log in, or if you join now, you’ll be able to receive it before the holiday arrives! The Father’s Day menu includes 3 burger options (Ultimate, Mushroom Pesto, and Over-the-Border), Classic Potato Salad, and So-Easy Baked Beans. Yum!

Here’s a sample view of some recipes and a grocery list. Please feel free to ask me any questions you might have! This program has been a lifesaver–timesaver–avoid eating out moneysaver for our family. I hope it will be the same for yours!

I received a 12-month subscription to eMeals free of charge in exchange for an honest review and periodic updates. All opinions expressed are my own.

Thanks, Heidi! I’m loving eMeals! It’s really helping us break the bad habit of eating out so much…except for splurging on those Disney dinners :)
