Did you know today’s Tiggerific Tuesday #DisneyTrivia about Walt Disney’s private aircraft dubbed “The Mouse”?

Walt Disney‘s Grumman Gulfstream 1 can be seen at Disney’s Hollywood Studios Backlot Tour. Walt purchased “The Mouse” in 1964. It had room for 15 passengers and included a galley, two couches, a desk, and a special seat for Walt that was equipped with a special altimeter and air-speed gauge to satisfy his curiosity about flight. Approximately 83,000 people have flown aboard the aircraft, including three United States presidents (Richard Nixon, Jimmy Carter, and Ronald Reagan) and two Disney Legends (Julie Andrews and Annette Funicello).

I didn’t know it had an altimeter and air speed gauge for Walt! I know he loved trains, so it doesn’t surprise me all that much that he was interested in airplanes too.
