Did you know today’s Tiggerific Tuesday Trivia about Epcot’s Soarin’?

Imagineer Mark Sumner designed the attraction, Soarin’, from his 40-year-old Erector Set he’d had in his attic. After a weekend of sketching and tinkering, he had created a model to present his team. The actual ride mechanism is surprisingly similar to his Erector Set prototype! (Via Imagineering Field Guide to Epcot.)

    I’ve heard this before and I find it SO amazing!  It just goes to show how the money we invest in building toys (Legos, K-Nex, etc.) is so worth it!

    I have also heard this, but it is simply amazing.   My son and I build with his Erector set, but we have to follow the shipped instructions :)   Time to start thinking outside the box.   Thanks for hosting!!
