The American Adventure Pavilion at Epcot’s World Showcase is an Epcot Original Pavilion, opening on October 1, 1982. This pavilion is special to me because it is dedicated to our great country, and it incorporates a lot of the things that make America great in its exhibits, shows, and even food! Let’s explore together some of the things that make Epcot’s American Adventure Pavilion truly spectacular!

    Voices of Liberty

The famous singing group, Voices of Liberty, is found in the pavilion. This eight member group sings a capella — primarily in the rotunda of the exhibit hall. Dressed in period clothing, they not only look the part of early Americans, but they sing incredible tunes from a bygone day. Generally, they perform prior to the next scheduled show in the American Adventure Theater. We were fortunate enough to have Sophie pose for a picture with one of the singers one year!

    The Liberty Inn Restaurant

A favorite dining location of ours is the Liberty Inn Restaurant, which is a simple quick service restaurant located in the pavilion. Offering traditional American fare of things like burgers and such, it’s a good place to get out of the heat for a while, and if you are patient, you might just catch a show while you are relaxing.

    The American Adventure Show

By far, though, the highlight of the pavilion, at least in my opinion, is the American Adventure show.  This Audio-Animatronics show, which is narrated by figures of Benjamin Franklin and Mark Twain, covers many periods throughout the history of America, including such times as the Revolutionary War, the Civil War, the Centennial International Exhibition, and the Great Depression.

The show is filled with period songs that truly capture the spirit of what America was going through at the time, and is a great show to relax in, in my opinion.
