Hollywood Land 1 Hollywood Land

Welcome to Hollywood Land! Here, the Golden Age of Hollywood meets the magic of Disney movies in an entertaining combination of glamour and sentimentality, of humor and celebrity. At Hollywood Land, stars don’t walk off the silver screen; you walk into it.

Anchoring Hollywood Boulevard is the ominous Hollywood Tower Hotel, an attraction that itself sprang right out of television’s The Twilight Zone, and an experience you’re sure to admit is of another dimension.

Hail a taxi and sightsee Monstropolis with a “scare-raising” tour of animation reality on Monsters, Inc., Mike & Sulley to the Rescue! Or drop by Muppet Vision 3D for a demonstration of next generation Muppet technology that will, uh-hum, blow you away. (Showing full screening of Disney Prep & Landing: Naughty vs. Nice now through January 6, 2013.)

At the Disney Animation building, draw Disney characters at the Animation Academy, chat surfing lingo at Turtle Talk with Crush, or explore interactive character animation at the Sorcerer’s Workshop. Enjoy a whole new world of Broadway-caliber entertainment with Disney’s Aladdin – A Musical Spectacular at the Hyperion Theater, or let your little ones sing and dance some energy out with Mickey Mouse and friends at Disney Junior – Live on Stage!

Stick around till the sun goes down for a rabbit-hole trippy Mad T Party, a dance party with colorful performances inspired by the Mad Hatter, March Hare, Cheshire Cat, and more from Tim Burton’s Alice in Wonderland. It’s a perfect ending to a perfect day in Walt’s perfect Hollywood.

Today’s Takeaway:
Since yesterday was the birthday of our old pal, Mickey Mouse (and Minnie too!), watch this video tutorial and learn to draw him!
