Finding Nemo—The Musical is a must-sea show at Disney’s Animal Kingdom Park. This live performance adapts the Oscar-winning Disney•Pixar animated film, Finding Nemo, to a lively musical production. Though the stage show reduces the film’s storyline to a 30-minute presentation, it loses none of Nemo’s heart or humor.
Just keep swimming—or walking if you prefer—from Dinoland, USA, toward the Asia section of the park. About midway between, plunge to the ocean depths at the Theater in the Wild and discover both the beauty and the perils of the deep, blue sea. Here you’ll meet clownfish/overprotective dad Marlin, his adventuresome son Nemo, their forgetful pal Dory, and a cast of other marine creatures, as they learn that love knows no depths.
Marlin wants to make sure nothing bad ever happens to his son, but when Nemo is taken away, Marlin must overcome his own fears and set out on a rescue mission. Meanwhile, Nemo, who is trapped in a dentist’s fish tank in Australia, befriends new mates who inspire him find a way back to his dad.
Fantastic theatrical puppetry, special effects, and musical compositions written specifically for this show produce a touching and entertaining story the whole family will enjoy.

Today’s Takeaway:
Observe fish in your home! Nemo and his friends are native to the tropical coral reefs off the coast of Australia. Species like him are available for sale at your local pet shop or even at Wal-mart. If it’s in your budget, set up an aquarium in your home and observe fish behavior, dietary needs, physical needs, and more.
Consult a specialist at the pet store before purchasing anything to make sure you acquire necessary chemicals and food and learn how to care for your new pet. You may also want to make sure you do not place competing fish in the same tank. A simple setup will likely cost only $5-$10. If a purchase is not possible, visit a local aquarium or zoo, or talk to the expert at your pet store about the habits and habitat of tropical fish.
