We hope you’ve enjoyed having our assistant Tiffany along with us this summer! Today will be her last feature, as she heads back to college soon. Now, if only there were a PeopleMover to take her there
Thank you, Tiffany, for all your hard work!

Tomorrowland is home to the promise of tomorrow and the TTA Blue Line, or Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover. Offering a great aerial view of Tomorrowland, the TTA is great for getting not only views of the attractions but also of the people in it.

The TTA is located in the heart of Tomorrowland at Rocket Tower Plaza. Guests take a conveyor walkway up to the second floor to board a non-stop, moving platform. This ride offers great views outside and inside certain attractions by taking Guests through rides like Buzz Lightyear Space Ranger Spin and Space Mountain, but don’t worry! You don’t have to ride either one.
TTA is the only place to see part of the actual model of Walt Disney’s Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow (a model that inspired EPCOT). Although it’s painted blue, the transportation system is actually green. This system is completely pollution-free using a linear induction motor to drive the vehicles. At the time of its inception, this type of engine was quite a move toward futuristic mass transportation.

The TTA is a ride for everyone and shouldn’t be missed. Kids love the great views and the peeks inside rides they may be riding later (or not). Adults can take the time to relax and maybe snap a few photos. Nonetheless, this attraction is quite unique and is a must-do when visiting Magic Kingdom.
Today’s Takeaway:
As Tiffany pointed out, Tomorrowland is home to the promise of tomorrow. Walt’s intention of including such a land in his theme parks was to help people envision, embrace and explore the future. He wanted it to be an ever-evolving exhibit of the cutting edge of technology, to show people what great gadgets, tools and machines are being created to improve life as we know it.
Today, experiment with this Science Buddies project to learn how a fuel cell works and compare its efficiency to that of an internal combustion engine. According to the abstract: “You probably know that turning off the lights and the water, and not wasting paper are all good ways to help the environment and conserve our resources. Did you know that another good way is using fuel cells? A fuel cell is a device that converts the energy in chemicals to electricity and it creates no pollution! In this science fair project, learn how a fuel cell works. You’ll get double the benefits by doing this science fair project—learn about science and learn how to help the environment at the same time.”
