August ends tomorrow. That means The Ultimate Field Trip (UFT) is just days away and I’ll soon be reporting from Walt Disney World Resort! Next week’s blog schedule may be a little off-normal. Monday will feature a special UFT post, Thursday will begin our look at Disney’s Animal Kingdom, and Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday we’ll be checking in with pics of what’s happening at the World. We hope you’ll join us for a virtual visit if you’re not able to be with us in person.
Let’s see, August was a busy month for us. Did you miss anything in August? I think the biggest news was that we converted blog to book with the publication of MAGICAL MOUSE SCHOOLHOUSE: Learn While You Play at Walt Disney World Resort! We will have an official launch party in a few weeks, but the book is available for purchase right now at Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and CreateSpace. Your local library also has access to it via orders, so go ahead and request a copy. By the way, it is also available for Kindle!
This month we focused on Magic Kingdom Park. Our wonderful assistant, Tiffany, helped us out with a look at the Tomorrowland Transit Authority PeopleMover, the Haunted Mansion, and Magic Kingdom’s New Fantasyland Expansion before she headed back to college. We followed her Fantasyland feature with a jaunt on Magical Blogorail Yellow, highlighting the new Fantasyland aspects we’re most anticipating. We hummed along to Mickey’s Philharmagic, shopped for a good cause at The Emporium, got all dolled up at Bibbidi Bobbidi Boutique and Pirates League, blasted off at Space Mountain, and soared in a pixie-dusted pirate ship at Peter Pan’s Flight.
August was a full month for giveaways too! My goodness, we had some great goodies, like the Little Passports Global Adventure Explorer Kit, the LET IT SHINE DVD and sountrack, a Disney Dooney & Bourke wristlet, and three copies of MAGICAL MOUSE SCHOOLHOUSE from our friends at 3D Travel Company, Chip & Company, and The M.O.M. Initiative.
Of course, we hosted our regular features. Earn Your E.A.R.S. returned this month. September registration opens on Saturday, so be sure to sign up if you haven’t already! Pictures were worth a thousand words each Wordless Wednesday this month. Time Warp Tuesdays revisited some older posts, and Disney Destination and Cruise News, brought to us by Carol Beth Scott of 3D Travel, kept us informed on the latest Disney travel tips.
Today’s Takeaway:
We’ll be focusing on Disney’s Animal Kingdom next month. Keep up with us so you don’t miss anything in September! There are many ways to do that.
