It's here! The 7th Annual Ultimate Field Trip to Walt Disney World Resort is finally here! If you read our Magical Blogorail post on Friday, you'll know this is one of my family's Disney traditions. The experience that sparked all my Disney passion actually began in 2004 when Carol Beth Scott and her family traveled to The Most Magical Place on Earth. They had such an amazing time they founded 3D Travel Company to enable other families to find that same joy.

The Scotts organized The Ultimate Field Trip (UFT) in 2005 as a way for homeschoolers across the country to gather and learn while they play onsite at Walt Disney World. The event has grown from its humble beginnings of 18 travelers Inaugural UFT attendees to several hundred participating families this year! 3D Travel is now an Earmarked Agency and continues to grow.

UFT 2010
What do we do at UFT? Homeschoolers from all over the United States arrive at Walt Disney World during Labor Day week. (Some participants stay an additional week, but the group events take place during the first week.) All gatherings are optional. However, you probably don't want to miss any, since they really highlight the learning possibilities. It's vacation, sure, but isn't it great when the kids take away more than a memory?

Here's what's going on this week:
Monday: Meet-n-greet and get your goody bags.
Tuesday: Cupcake meet and UFT experience at Disney's Hollywood Studios' Starring Rolls
Wednesday: Scavenger Hunt at Downtown Disney
Thursday: UFT educational experience open day
Friday: Cupcake meet and later fireworks at Epcot
Saturday: 'Ohana breakfast farewell...volunteer with Give Kids the World!

Good times, giveaways and great new friends!

Today's Takeaway:
If you're joining us at UFT, please be sure to introduce yourself. We'd love to meet you in person!

If you're nowhere near the Parks right now, you can virtually join us by following our Tweets on Twitter and keeping up with us on Facebook. We hit the Magic Kingdom last night and met another of our cyber friends irl (in real life!). Randy at Your Highway in the Sky has joined the Disney College Program as a Haunted Mansion Cast Member - congrats, Randy! Take a few minutes to read about the attraction's "Madame Leota," the late Imagineer Leota Toombs Thomas. Then, create your own holographic image!
